... Data Table Analysis Brief Ashley Jones ACC/542 November 5, 2012 Anita Rodriguez, M.A., CPA Data Table Analysis Brief Kudler Fine Foods has data that must be evaluated and automated into the data systems. Before the data can be automated, it must be evaluated for completeness. One must evaluate two different items: The Access data tables and The Inventory Database. To better assist Kudler Fine Foods, one must evaluate the design elements of the Access data tables from an accounting perspective and recommend improvements to the existing tables. An entity relationship diagram and pivot table will assist with understanding the data. One can then provide an explanation of how the information in the pivot table may improve decision making. Design Elements From an accounting perspective, the design elements of the data tables lack the information needed for processing transactions on a daily basis. The data in the table provide information on the customers, inventories, items, orders, order lines, stores, suppliers, tax tables, and tenders. The tables do not provide information on the transactions to journalize and add to the general ledger. The tables lack information for the financial reports, except for a few of the tables. The inventory table will provide the basic information for the quantity on hand for cost of goods calculations with unit cost for the income statement. The tender table will provide basic information on whether the payment is cash, credit......

Those emirates are: Abu Dhabi, which is the largest city and capital of the UAE, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. With Kudler Fine Foods using data table to order, keep inventory, and to process their products, they can become more successful and on top of the food industry. As a company, Kudler needs to evaluate their design elements of the data tables that are needed for review from an accounting perspective. ... Enerdecido, Tania Mae R. Ronario, Ma. Francesca S. Data Analysis Qualitative Data Analysis “Analysis is a breaking up, separating, or disassembling of research materials into pieces, parts, elements, or units. With facts broken down into manageable pieces, the researcher sorts and sifts them, searching for types, classes, sequences, processes, patterns or wholes. The aim of this process is to assemble or reconstruct the data in a meaningful or comprehensible fashion” (Jorgensen, 1989: 107). The researchers will analyze the data by means of using Powell and Renner’s analysis process. The analysis process is made up of getting to know the data, focusing the analysis, categorizing information, identifying patterns and connections within and between categories, and interpretation (Powell and Renner, 2003). This process will be used in analyzing all of the transcripts of parents of students from Mater Dei Academy. The identified consistencies and differences from responses of the interviewees (Powell and Renner, 2003) will be open-coded (Merriam, 2009). Identified consistencies and differences from the parents’ statements will be generalized. The researchers will then come up with patterns or themes that could be formed through the coded answers of parents (Merriam, 2009). Furthermore, these will all be interpreted. Specifically, the researchers followed the subsequent steps in doing their qualitative data analysis of parents’ of students from Mater Dei Academy......

...EDUTL 5901 | Balanced Scorecard: an Empirical Study of Small and Medium Size Enterprises | Data Analysis | Guangting Zheng Guangting Zheng Introduction This study analyzes Balanced Scorecard (BSC) knowledge among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Portuguese industry. It basically resolves three problems: Do Portuguese industrial SMEs use the BSC? Are those in charge of management accounting aware of the Balanced Scorecard? Is there any relation between spreading knowledge about the Balanced Scorecard and specific contingency variables? Traditionally managers evaluate performance with exclusively financial measures. The first performance evaluation models were based solely on financial measures (BANKER; MASHRUWALA, 2007; CORONA, 2009; LUFT, 2009; MARTIN; PETTY, 2000). However, over-emphasis on this assessment method may drive managers to try to maximize short-term financial results, thus harming the sustainable development of the company. According to Dearman and Shields (2001), even when using other methods theoretically considered as inadequate, correct management decisions can be made as long as managers are aware of the more adequate methods. Then in 1990, a new model called Balanced Scorecard was proposed. Balanced scorecard (BSC) is a strategy performance management tool, which can be used by managers to keep track of the execution of activities in the company. Now BSC is used not only as performance evaluation, but also as a strategic management......

...Data Table Analysis ACC/542 Data Table Analysis Kuder Fine Foods design elements table shows the different tables that are used to determine information. The breakout and design of the table is straight forward and provides what exactly is under each category. The customer information is very detailed and some other categories could be combined. Inventory and item could be combined since they both will provide some same information. Depending on the item that customers like can depend on the inventory amount on hand. Order and order line can also be combined in one and just add additional field where needed. The design of the access table can provide very detail information regarding inventory and items needed for each store. Combining some of the columns can help to formulize the information more and give a better results for the company to use for growth and revenue. Access Table Analysis Inventory is the key to Kudler Fine Foods business. The inventory stock has to stay stocked for the business to make profit. Having the right suppliers will make sure inventory is received in a timely manner. Cost reduction regarding how much is paid out to suppliers is important because it more cost is going to supplier, then what is sold there is an issue. Kudler Fine Foods should look into combining their stores to have one supplier. Management or owner should look into products and quantity on hand to determine their stock. ...Writing Assignment #3 (Data Analysis/Social media) One widely recognized issue that we face these days is the distraction social networking can be when it comes to education. I mean, if biology class is a total drag you are going to want to find something to entertain yourself with for the time being, right? While I agree that a boring class is not the best thing in the world, the information being taught is much more important than what’s being posted on your Instagram or Twitter feed. According to a post on NBC News’ website regarding research on the connection between the average American teen’s attention span with common distractions such as cell phones, text messaging and social networks, and how it affects grades, approximately 47 percent of American high school or college students have either failed one or more classes due to distractions, furthering my point that too much online social activity can be a harmful distraction. Social network overuse can not only affect your academic life, but also your personal life as well. From my own experience, just about anyone getting too comfortable on social networks can definitely serve as a threat to his or her personal well-being. I’ve witnessed many arguments and disagreements on social media leading to physical altercations between classmates. With so many different mindsets and opinions floating around, it is almost impossible to post something without at least one person disagreeing or feeling personally offended...

...HCS/577 – Financial Management in Health Care Financial Data Analysis Introduction To have a full understanding we need to know what an operating budget is and it can be defined as the upcoming statement of profit and loss for the different divisions and units of a company as well as the company as whole for the upcoming year. To identify the variances as well as to monitor things this operating budget is normally divided into what is usually called quarters. For a health care company these budgets are prepared for the following year and is normally discussed for some kind of approval by the upper management teams. When the year is at an end the management team that is in charge of certain areas are then asked to provide an account of the performances from the previous year. Effective financial management practices in creating and monitoring an operating budget When it comes to creating and monitoring a budget, the use of financial management should not be overemphasized. To start off, the budget construction form should be able to identify all of the relevant data that is involved. The operating budget can be best utilized as a profit and loss statement projection and to prepare the estimates of expenses and future revenues. To make it easier to monitor Finkler (2006) states that an operating budget should be presented together......

Analysis of Data

... The terms "statistical analysis" and "data analysis" can be said to mean the same thing -- the study of how we describe, combine, and make inferences based on numbers. A lot of people are scared of numbers (quantiphobia), but data analysis with statistics has got less to do with numbers, and more to do with rules for arranging them. It even lets you create some of those rules yourself, so instead of looking at it like a lot of memorization, it's best to see it as an extension of the research mentality, something researchers do anyway (i.e., play with or crunch numbers).  Once you realize that YOU have complete and total power over how you want to arrange numbers, your fear of them will disappear.  It helps, of course, if you know some basic algebra and arithmetic, at a level where you might be comfortable solving the following equation There are three (3) general areas that make up the field of statistics: descriptive statistics, relational statistics, and inferential statistics.  1. Descriptive statistics fall into one of two categories: measures of central tendency (mean, median, and mode) or measures of dispersion (standard deviation and variance). Their purpose is to explore hunches that may have come up during the course of the research process, but most people compute them to look at the normality of their numbers. Examples include descriptive analysis of sex, age, race, social class, and so forth.  2. Relationalstatistics fall into one of three categories: univariate...
