Because in industrial societies ,children are more likely to survive into adulthood ,and so couples have fewer children .In addition although to farming families children are an economic liability .In others words ,children no longer add to their family’s financial income but instead are a major expense .Finally as more and more woman work outside the home they choose to have fewer children .This is a trend reflects both the rising standing century in birth control technology over the past century This what I have learn in this article is that the birth rate is going down because women in this century is have less child because they are focus on the their career and focus more on having more money than children In the past century women was more concerned about home and have children because their husband did all the working and paying the bills, so women stay at home and take care of the kids and the home .But in this century women are more focus on their career so we see less children been born this century . ...attitudes on older people. Some criticize on micro-level theories becuase they focus on what older people do rather than on social conditionsand policies that cuase them to act the way they do. Macro-level focuses more upon social structure, social processes and problems, and their interrelationships. For example the effects of industrialization on older people's status, or how gender and income affect older people's well being. This approach tends to minimize people's ability to act and overcome the limits of social structures. Both micro and macro-leve theories can take one of three perspectives which include: interpretive perspective, normative, and conflict. Normative perspective says rules and status exist in society to provide socail control or social order. Social order is necessary for survival. This perspective focuses upon macro-level. For example structural-functionalism, role theory, modernization theory, and age-stratification. Interpretive perspective says that the social world is created in an ongoing manner, via social interaction. How do we relate to each other on a day-to-day basis? It focuses upon micro-level. Conflict perspective deals with macro and some micro levels. Causes of poverty, health disparities, distribution of life chances via, social class, and gender. Micro level perspectives is the study of small scale structures and processes in society. It says explanations of social life and social structures are to be found at the......

Socail Deviance

...Tiffany McKinney Professor C. Wolfe Sociology 1101 9 April 2014                        Social Deviance     In order to undertake what deviance is; we first must know what it means. Sociologist pimply defines deviance as anything out of the social norms. "Deviance and social norms vary among societies, communities, and times. .   Social norms are different everywhere. For example in Puerto Rico, the elders find it very disrespectful for " outsiders" (people not in the immediate family) to take off their shoes in their house; however, in Trinidad and Tobago, when anyone walks into a house, they must take off their shoes at the door. In the United States, once again, depending on where one may live, for the south for example, speaking is for everybody. Up north, it's nothing like that. People mind their businesses and let you tend to yours. It's more of the "I don't speak to strangers" thing. .      One deviant act is noticed world wide, murder. This social norm is generally broken everywhere. No matter where you are from everyone knows "Thou Shall not Kill." Even though everyone knows this deviant act would be a social norm violation --for the people who decides to creek the norm-- society has came up with consequences for those violators. .        I will say some of there norms I agree with and some I don't. I would see it disrespectful not to take off your shoes when you walk into someones house. Walking into a place where there may be babies around ......

...Written Assignment 2: Critique Web-Based Source By: The Management of Stress & Tension (OS-320-OL002) Professor Henny Breen Being in the military has a lot of benefits and perks. A lot of those benefits are offered free of charge but taken for granted and squandered. With this being said, the web-based source I choose is Military One Source (www.militaryonesource.mil). To be honest I never thought I would resort to rely on such a resource but I guess that is a perk that comes with a young, naive and inexperienced mind. I for one took this resource for granted when I first enlisted then later on my career after my first deployment was using this source to help battle my PTSD. Military OneSource is a confidential Department of Defense-funded program providing comprehensive information on every aspect of military life at no cost to active duty, National Guard, and reserve members, and their families. Information includes, but is not limited to, deployment, reunion, relationships, grief, spouse employment and education, parenting and childhood services. It is a virtual extension to installation services. This source also provide a toll-free number if the service member or dependents that are in need of assistance or just need to talk to someone. Therefore military one source covers majority if not the full complete military life aspect. On the topic of web-based stress management tool, this site provide a wide spectrum of tips to manage stress such......

Health and Socail Care Level 3 Yr 1 Unit 9

...P2: In p2 I am going to be identifying the processes and the assessment tools in which could be involved when planning support. The Cycle of Assessment (The Processes): The process is for example; a support plan for an elderly or a teenager to have for when they feel it is important to them and for what they would like to change in their life. During this kind of assessment process, a social worker for example, will discuss with the individual what is working and also what is not working and this is to ensure that they are having a good quality of life and this will make it easier to identify what kind of support or maybe even resources they may need to make their life easier. The support plan does not have to be complicated as it can as detailed or as simple as they would like it to be but this is as long as both the carer and the individual discuss, understand and also agree the desired outcomes of the assessment. When someone produces a support plan, it is very important that they consider how to meet all of the individuals needs and this is also whilst considering the role of the informal carer. When the first assessment is to take place, the extent of all the individuals support needs might not be apparent straight away and this would make it very difficult to identify all of the relevant support services that could be useful and in which are needed. Therefore it is very important that the dates are set for reviewing the plan with the person who is requiring the......
