My opinion about about Marxism

I will start by saying I admire both the great Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels whom through their ideas and inspiration gave birth to Marxism.
Marx was a creative, idealist and a determinist scholar who was willing to change his mind when he's confronted with new ideas. I also believe that there were two Marx in the sense that the young Marx was more of revolutionist while the matured Marx was more of economist.
I wouldn't want to discuss in details about Marx's ideas but I believe that he was one of the greatest political scientist in the seventh century whose theories about society, economics and politics created the term Marxism. Marx basically believed that human societies progress through class struggle: a conflict between an ownership class that controls production and a proletariat that provides the labour for production. He called capitalism the "dictatorship of the bourgeoisie," believing it to be run by the wealthy classes for their own benefit; and he predicted that, like previous socioeconomic systems, capitalism produced internal tensions which would lead to its self-destruction and replacement by a new system: socialism. He argued that under socialism society would be governed by the working class in what he called the "dictatorship of the proletariat", the "workers' state" or "workers' democracy". He believed that socialism would eventually be replaced by a stateless, classless society called communism.
Yes it's true that through out human history it's always been the oppressors against the oppressed which in my own opinion no matter what kind of system of government a society practiced there's always going to be oppressors against the oppressed. Life is like a battle field where only the strong and determined can survive and so is the society we live.
Even if we all start from one level in life we might all…...

Coming Out About My Sexuality

...Coming Out about my Sexuality I have always felt differently about my sexuality growing up. We always hear “a man is supposed to be with a woman,” but I did not feel attracted to women, there was always this attraction to men. With me being from a small town, there was always this fear of hurting my family, so I kept it bottled up inside of me until the age of 16. Then I finally decided to tell the man that I Idolized most! When telling this to my grandpa he said “you can’t help who you have feelings for, as long as you are happy, you will be loved no less.” He then encouraged me to tell the rest of my family, and I did and of course, with mixed reactions. Starting to realize the difference of my attraction to men at the age of 9 or 10 made me realize that there was a problem; we were raised in a Pentecostal church. I knew that it was wrong for a man to be with a man. When my friends would stay all night I would have mixed emotions about what I was supposed to do and what I wanted to do. I always, of course would be in the closet with one of the girls or something like that, but did not want to be. So for many years I kept up this “fantasy,” I lived in a small town, which was a very racial town. My family “name” was very important to our family. My grandparents (father’s side) were pillars of the community and owned several businesses and my Aunt and Uncle were both school teachers in the community. It was very difficult for me to show my true self and it ate at me for......

Story About My Literacy

...I was sitting in my room behind my computer and was looking and the blank screen on my laptop and was thinking to myself what story I should tell about my literacy? I’m not really sure if I can come up with anything! But then I start to think about the time when I was just a little kid, and I couldn’t read or write. I was very interested in reading since I was a child growing up in Iran. I remember that I was grabbing my mom or my dad magazine’s and look through all the pictures and wondering what is it saying? Then I would go to my dad and asking him to tell me what all these word surrounding these pictures means? So my dad was putting his glasses on while he was smiling at me and looked at the page that I was pointing at, then he start to read it to me loud and clear; at that point I was very jealous of my dad, that how can he read so well and I couldn’t ? and he would tell me that:”Don’t worry once you go to school they will teach you and you can read anything you want as good as me or even better”. My father explained to me that he felt books were very important and that I had been exposed to books from the beginning. I was read to by many family members such as aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. He also stressed that I was a very verbal child at a young age and had been around mostly adults for the first few years. My vocabulary started at about five months and by two years had clear structured sentences. As I was learning how to speak, I was also introduced to...

Essay About "This Is My Livingroom"

...An essay about ”This is My Living Room” How much does it take before a man gets enough, enough of turning all of his surroundings into something bad? The narrator gives us an introduction to his life and he expresses life’s negative aspects through this short story. The theme of the story could be “Every man for himself” or “Every man is his own fortune”. These themes are reflected in the text as the narrator says: “People are as mean one place as they are another and they’re always out to get you”. Subsection “People”. “This is My Living Room” is a short story and it’s written by Tom McAfee in 1966. The story takes place in Pine Springs, Minnesota, in a neighborhood characterized by hostility and unreliability. But it highlights as well a family where old traditions are a part of the everyday life. This is reflected in the text when the narrator expresses his opinion about women and their rights. “Women are easier to handle. About the worst they can do is talk and what does that matter”. Subsection “People”. The narrator introduces himself as a smart man and a man that doesn’t believe in anyone but himself. He’s a man in late forties and between the lines; we can perceive him as a male chauvinist. There are likewise examples which describe him as a racist. “Niggers are better than anybody because you can handle them. They don’t hardly ever give you any trouble.” Subsection “People” His two girls Ellen Jean and Martha Kay are sixteen and fourteen years old. They......

My Project About Sociology

...be going to specific classrooms of the day and just try to blend in with the crowd and see how people will react. Perhaps the reactions will range from people whispering about how I look to the worst being the teacher will kick me out of class or tell me to go to the principal’s office because of my appearance. I predict that the major reaction I will be getting is someone making fun of me, which will lead to the teacher kicking me out of class. The norm will be taking place at school, which will take place in Choir class with Mr. White and Digital Journalism class with Mr. Bondurant. In Choir class, there will be different types of people observing me. The age range will be from 14 to 17 years old, all from different upbringings and cultures. In Digital Journalism, we will have a small class of 12, most know me but they will not know why I’m doing that. The youngest being 16 and the oldest being 17 in the class. As I entered Choir, I already felt the stares and whispers of the younger girls. When the older people of the class entered, they just gave me a thumbs-up and said I looked “cool.” So I felt a bit weird about violating the norm, because I felt out of place because of the reactions of the younger girls. But with the reactions of the older kids, I felt more confident and wanted to go on with my social experiment. What surprised me the most was Mr. White’s reaction—he didn’t have one. He never gave me a weird look; he just carried on with the class as if I......

My Perspective About Hinduism

...Bhavisha Patel PHI405- The Meaning of Life Professor DeLeon April 19, 2011 PHI405- TOPIC PROPOSAL Subject: My Perspective about Hinduism The History and traditions of Hinduism are both Ancient and Timeless. Hinduism is like a big Ocean and I am really not sure whether anybody apart from the Supreme itself knows it in its completeness. Even though these are my introductory words, people who dived into this ocean will really acknowledge the fact of it very much. Hinduism is not a Book of texts. It is the book of Knowledge and Experience. These two are endless and hence is the Hinduism. One may spend whole life in exploring the Hinduism but at the end one may have not seen the other bank of it. “Hinduism can also be described as Vaidika Dharma (Religion rooted in Vedas), Arya Dharma (Dharma of Aryans) and Manava Dharma (Religion of Humanity)” (Robinson, 23). Hinduism is a Grand mosaic of various Sampradayas, philosophies, mandirs, shastras, sadhus, devotees, holy places, ritual and festivals. It is often referred to by some scholars as a Family of Religions. The most attractive thought of Hinduism to me is Habits of Giving from Taittiriya Upanishad. These habits help me to feel real happiness of Giving. “Taittiriya Upanishad says: “Give. Give with the faith. Give with sensitivity. Give with the feeling of abundance. Give with right understanding” (Robinson, 25). Hinduism is not only a Religion but it......

Essay About My Self

...constraint. Limit the topic by concentrating only on the question in the title. Underline the key words in the title to help fix the topic firmly in mind. When writing, only include examples that directly answer the question. Avoid rambling around the subject. Get straight to the point.  2 Write the introduction, or thesis statement, in one or two sentences that use around 25 words. This will state the topic of the essay and the argument that the essay will prove in the remaining words. In longer essays, there is scope to include more than one point of view or take into account and compare or discuss differing arguments on the same subject. In a 250-word essay, there is little scope to expand. Choose just one viewpoint, argument or opinion to write as the introduction.  Write the body of the essay. Use short sentences that stick to the point without elaboration. Include an example that illustrates the thesis statement. One or two well-chosen examples are sufficient in a 250-word essay. For the body, write either two or three paragraphs, allowing a total word count of no more than 200 words. Allow one paragraph for each argument.  4 Write the conclusion. This summarizes the introduction and body, briefly referring back to the points made in the earlier sections to provide a coherent argument. If the previously suggested word counts have been used, there will be 25 words left in which to sum up the essay topic.  5 Proofread the entire 250-word essay. Remove or......

What Excites Me About My Future in Technology

...Ibukunoluwa Sobayo Lee University April 10, 2015 What Excites Me About The Future Of Technology? It is not news that we are at the peak of technological advancements that will change our lives. Nothing has made more impact on how we live our lives today or carry the potential to so seriously improve the human condition, as the technologies each one of us now has at our disposal, and the wonders yet to come. The inter-connectedness we have, the vast amounts of information accessible to us in less than a minute, the way in which anyone with basic knowledge can communicate with their friends and family, or even the entire world is quite impressive. The ease and convenience with which we can access almost any resource on the internet using anything from a mere personal computer to a small smart device in the pocket is highly impressive. I am encouraged and grateful to be part of such a great global innovation. I truly believe that personal and individually accessible technologies, will become an important part of humanity’s next stage of growth in the general quality of life and even survival. There is such a great potential to empower any individual to interact with people all over the world – from family and friends to new people on the other side of the planet. Nothing the human race has seen to date has the potential to empower the individual to make as much of a difference, to make as much of a connection, to make as much of himself as the technologies we have now and......

Reflections About My Job

...that the skills I have are very important to my job and my coursework. There are so many different ways that I can present myself, especially in my job environment. Since I am trying to move up in my job, it really makes a difference how I present myself. It can also make a difference on how I can present to my classmates as well. I am always ready for a challenge, especially when it comes to my job. I knew from the start what I wanted to write my paper about. My job may not be interesting or sound fun to some people, but every day brings a new challenge. Some people may not be able to handle being on the phone 10 hours a day, but I really love it. The main goal of my paper was to make it easy to understand. I didn’t want the paper to be too long or too short. I knew I would have to keep the audience entertained , but I knew if it was too long they might get bored and if it was too short, I might not have had enough information for them to understand. I should always think about different ways to present myself, since I am getting ready to apply for a higher position at my current job. I am going for my interview in two weeks and have to explain why I am the person qualified for the job and why I want the job. PART B The three types of information I would put on a social media website to present myself in a professional manner would be: 1.) Experience: In this part, I would put some of my jobs I had in the past, and what my responsibilities were at those jobs. *......

A Little About My Life

...Ohio to Corbin, Kentucky to take care of my grandfather. I ended up dropping out of school at the end of my junior year, at the age of seventeen due to the circumstances. After awhile, I decided to move back home and sought out a way to get my high school diploma, which I managed to obtain through an online high school based out of Columbus, Ohio at the age of twenty. I liked a variety of things about school, never really disliked anything. The only thing I found to be challenging was to have to sit in a classroom with several other students, I never could stay focused. That’s why I love the fact that I can farther my education online. I don’t really have a career history because I have only worked one serious job. That would be in a retail store called Kroger as a Customer Service Helper/Representative. I had many duties such as: Floor Supervisor, basic accounting, running a register, answering phones, and many more. I loved my job I had there, especially my customers that always found a way to keep my days going and grinning big. With my degree, I plan to one day be able to open my own day care facility with a nursing station and head start. But I still have a long ways to go before that day comes. As of now, I have some spare time on my hands with being unemployed. I love not having a job to earn money because I am a first and full time mommy and housewife. I enjoy spending every second of the day with my baby boy, Bailey, which will be......
