Justification Statements:

1. Layoff and Hiring Procedures: With respect to this issue, we were able to secure a 26-week layoff notice period. Although it is a reduction from the previous 52-week policy, we were able to meet management in the middle, despite their initial intentions to have the entire notice policy removed (most important issue for them). We believe that a 26-week period is a reasonable time frame, giving employees sufficient time to get their affairs in order. Furthermore, we were also able secure a beneficial seniority preference in the layoff process, to reward our long-standing loyal members. Finally, we were able to have management commit to reserving half of all new openings to previously laid of employees. The introduction of this clause is more aligned with industry standards.

2. Incentive Program: With respect to this issue, we made believe we made tremendous progress. We were able to reduce production targets to 90% of the current level. This is a huge achievement, considering management was very firm on this issue, and extremely reluctant to make any reduction. That said, we worked very hard to push them down by a material amount. It wasn’t easy, but we did it. Moreover, while we did not reinstate the incentive pay, for production above the target level, we introduced a bonus instead. The bonus would be tied to the company’s profitability, which is quite beneficial, considering their success and increasing profitability over the years. Also, we believe this alternative better serves your interests, as integrating incentive pay would force you guys to work at a “dangerous” pace to realize the benefits, thereby risking future injuries. The bonus achieves the goal of increasing your base pay, while ensuring your safety and well-being.

3. Wages: In this regard, we were able to secure a wage increase to $9/hr. This wage rate is…...

Purchase Justification

...Capital Purchase Justification ( DRAFT) An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scanner is an important piece of equipment that every major health institution needs to own. Doctors use the machine frequently to scan patients’ bodies, particularly in search of anomalies in the subject’s brain, spinal cord, blood vessels, heart, breasts, internal organs and bones. The scanner can detect many symptoms and warning signs of diseases, helping to provide the medical teams with early diagnoses (MRI scan, 2013). Currently, Nightingale Hospital does not have an MRI scanner, and this is affecting the institution’s operations in several ways. Firstly, physicians are sending patients to other facilities for scanning. This is causing a delay in diagnoses, as the doctors have to wait for some time before they can get the test results. Another problem with the hospital’s lack of the equipment is that it is costing the hospital a lot of revenue as other institutions profit from the patients sent there for scans by Nightingale Hospital’s physicians. The lack of an MRI scanner in the hospital is also causing a backlog at the institution due to the delay that doctors experience awaiting results from patient’s scans. The best MRI scanner for the hospital to purchase would be a Discovery MR750W 3.0T from GE (General Electric). The MR750W comes from GE healthcare latest line of MRI scanners that utilize wide-bore technology. The scanner offers advanced clinical functionality, and great image......

A good number of other employees in Carnival Cruise Line Company normally think that issues that bring about the hostile environment in the workplace include; bosses who are irresponsible, rude coworkers, privileges, benefits, the lack of perks, work environment that is unpleasant and even recognition. In most cases, to consider the workplace hostile, some lawful standards and policies are supposed to be met. The creation of this hostility in the work environment is mostly done by the boss or a colleague whose behavior, actions, and communications makes it impossible to perform the responsibilities of the workplace or the organization. Justification by Faith

...Justification by Faith By Russell D. Stalvey Introduction A statement that is ancient but also timeless and just as relevant for today’s believers is that we are justified by faith. The Apostle Paul gave insight to this statement very distinctly and in great aspect but to completely understand the statement, we first must possess a foundational comprehension of what it means to be justified. In understanding justification we will see that it is inseparably interrelated to faith, but not just any faith. We will also see that the undertaking of justification by faith has overwhelming effects on the justified. Definition Justification is seen as an act of God’s wonderful grace, free grace that is available to all sinners. God exonerations all of the sins, receives the sinners, not because of anything fashioned in the sinner or performed by the sinner, but only for the unflawed submission and complete satisfaction of the Lord, through God’s impartation and received by faith alone. The Westminster Larger Catechism answers the definition of justification in this manner: “Justification is an ‘act’. It is a courtroom verdict .We are the defendants and charges have been filed against us. The judge passes his verdict. Logically there are only two verdicts available to the judge. One of these verdicts is ‘condemned’, and the other is ‘justified’. If we are ‘condemned’, then the judge has pronounced us ‘guilty’. If we are ‘justified’, then the judge has pronounced......

...A New Audit Contractor Charmain Alston Professor Traci Wilmoth ENG 315: Professional Communications May 8, 2016 Problem Statement At the end of the 2016, we must complete and provide an auditor’s report to the National Federal Financial Review Board (NFFRB), just as we do every year. However, our current audit contactor has decided to discontinue its services to our company. This proposes a huge problem because without a detailed and thorough auditing service and financial report, we run the risk of failing Federal Government accountability guidelines and required financial transparency. We must decide how we will proceed with meeting our fiscal financial requirements. Overview of Alternatives Alternative A – Start a government-wide bidding process to solicit audit service vendor proposals from a list of reputable auditor contractors. Alternative B – Choose to request an extension from NFFRB to the deadline date to allow our organization the time to research and procure an appropriate auditor contact, and prepare the agency-wide documents, supporting documentation and consideration of costs. Criteria Per the Agency’s policy requirements, the following criteria must be considered: 1. We must choose from competitive, and highly recommended options/sources. Details of researched sources must be included in report. 2. The audit contractor must agree to a 5-year contract. This is very important, and will prove to be cost effective and ensure......

As a result, articles being out dated and a good number of them are used as case studies. I have conducted three publications, such as – Journal of International Business, Journal of Taxation and Journal of Business Ethics. All of three publications are very much interesting to me. After conducting my research on three publications, I chose the Journal of Business Ethics as my favorites out of the three. The Journal of Business Ethics provides publications on ethical issues related to business, and analyses of systems of production, consumption, marketing, economic accounting, public relations, and organization behavior. I chose it because, from 1982 till present (2011) its frequency is 29 and cost is very reliable for our company. Also, in one of its issues in 2011 by Shum and Yam, they suggest a new model that is rapidly growing called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that can fulfill social and economic responsibility simultaneously. It continues by explaining how managers that adopt CSR model will attain profits in their business enterprise. Implementing the use of CSR to our company would help our company rapidly grow and......

...ENG 315 Professional Communications February 13, 2011 Justification Report Plan I will be writing a justification report in order to justify a whole and healthy foods initiative for Pueblo School District in Tucson, Arizona. The audience would consist of the school board for this school. They decide upon the administrative decisions such as meal plan changes and the cost of meals. The school district board is comprised of ten individuals, four men and six women. Their backgrounds include varying professions. The topic of the report is implementing more organic, low fat, and vegetarian friendly options in kindergarten through eighth grade class cafeterias. This initiative would require the help of a dietician consultant to assist with menu planning and nutritional guidelines for the specific age groups. The purpose of this report is to convince the board members that the whole and healthy foods initiative will keep young people healthier, therefore jump starting their brains and overall dispositions to succeed in school and in the future. The initiative would include food education for young people to help them learn healthy menu planning and the new food pyramid organization. Eating right and learning to eat right will affect children’s health and economic stature in the future. I will research in psychology and medical journals to find articles on how food affects young bodies and minds. The chef Jamie Oliver has created initiatives to offer healthier foods in......
