Research Methods
While researching, I used the World Wide Web, personal experience, and interviews to write an accurate case study on Starbucks about their management. Before I started to research I made sure that I laid out all of the things in order that I would need to have for my paper, such as their management practices and techniques, how and why they have become successful through management, and their accomplishments over the years.

Introduction and background information
Starbucks Corporation, the most famous chain of retail coffee shops in the world, mainly benefits from roasting and selling special coffee beans, and other various kinds of coffee or tea drinks. Starbucks began by three friends, Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegl, and Gordon Bowker, who knew each other at the University of Seattle, in 1971. A sales representative, Howard Schultz, decided to be a part of Starbucks, as director of marketing and retail sales, after he realized the atmosphere and environment of the company. In 1985 Howard Schultz chose to establish a new coffee shop, named II Giornale, in Seattle. After the next two years, due to the successful strategy of Schultz, the original three owners of Starbucks decided to sell their corporation to Schultz. Then Schultz gathered other investors and changed the name of II Giornale to Starbucks. He sought to pursue his dream to make everyone taste his coffee, so he focused on the rate of expanding. Many people may ask how or why Starbucks has become so successful in the coffee world, and as I have learned from research and personal experience, management plays a central role in their success. ...When you hear the word “Class” what do you think of? When I hear that word depending on how it is being used I think of it mainly in two different aspects. The first way I think of it is in the sense of a class room setting. For example “I have to go to class”. The Other form that I think about is when it is being used to describe certain types of people. For example “There goes the wealthy class of people”. As anyone would do I decided to look up the word class and see how many different meanings the word class may have. When I looked it up I found that it had more meanings than just a class you can attend or a particular group of people. The word class can be used to describe a division. For example :” Johnny graduated in the class of 2005”. You can also use class to describe two different things. Java Class

...Java Class MIS 304 is not a class for everyone. Not just any student should take the class. This class is structured to assist students in learning how to program using the Java language. This class does not make a student an expert in the language of Java, but instead gives the student the basic fundamentals needed to have practical use of the language and gives them a solid foundation upon which they can build if they choose to do so. The material covered in the class is adequate. Java can be a complex language to learn, but in MIS 304 one is taught the basics and nothing too detailed or complicated. The resources that are given to the students are very good. I know that the Java book used for the class is one of the best reference materials on Java that is on the market today. The lab facilities and proctors are also great resources. The only problem I feel that exists is that students don’t take advantage of the resources they have available. Students hardly look through their book for answering questions they might have. Also students hardly even bring their books to the lab when doing programs. They sometimes look for proctors to fix their problems instead of fixing it themselves. I think it should be emphasized to students that the proctors are not their to do the programs for them, but to rather help them figure out what is going wrong in their programs. The title and the opening few paragraphs really give away the thesis of the entire piece. The author chooses to start by diving right into his topic in the introduction. He concludes by reiterating his main point, and places a rhetorical question as the very last sentence. This is effective in this piece because it leaves the reader pondering back upon what he/she just read. The writer does provide evidence throughout the reading to support his thesis. He uses quotes from reporters and from books to back himself up. These sources do a good job at supporting his argument. They are valid and credible sources so it makes his argument stronger. He does address the opposing views by indicating why their argument is wrong however, he goes on ranting more about why he is right and not too far into details about why the opposition is in the wrong. The audience intended for this writing is most likely for a general audience because it is a topic that relates to all people of society.
