2.0 Advantages of drinking water
Water is a necessity for all living things in this world and human could only survive in three days without drinking water so it plays an important role throughout our life. Drinking more water not just makes us healthier but to make sure all our organs in our body work smoothly.
2.1 Excretion
Water is the solution for maintaining a healthy lifestyle by drinking generous amounts of water every day is essential for good health because it helps our body to cleanse our body toxins out through kidney (Batmanghelidj, n.d). Kidney and livers play an important role in excretion and water helps kidney and livers to function properly by carry away toxins from the human body.
2.2 Perspiration
When we having a cold or fever we need more water to standardize our body temperature and water help us to maintain our body temperature (Dawkins & Gibson, 2007). When our surrounding temperature is hot, our body…...

...Tourist Attractions On the agenda of every trip to Moscow is a trip to Red Square, the historic core of the Russian capital. All important streets start here. St. Basil’s cathedral was built in the 16th century by Ivan the Terrible. It has nine small colorful domes with chapels. The Kremlin Palace is a large fortress that was once the residence of the Russian tsars. Today it is the official residence of the Russian president. Unfortunately, however, tourists are only allowed to see the outside walls of the palace. The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts shows objects from the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Greece and Rome as well as paintings of famous European artists. Modern architecture includes Lenin’s mausoleum and the GUM shopping mall. Boat trips along the Moskva River offer a completely different view of Moscow. You can see the city’s most interesting features while enjoying a comfortable ride. The famous Bolshoi Theatre is a historic theatre in Moscow that holds performances of opera and a world – class ballet. It was founded in the 18th century and has been undergoing restoration for some years. The State History Museum has an enormous collection covering the whole Russian empire from the time of the Stone Age. The building, dating from the late 19th century, is itself an attraction – each room is in the style of a different period or region, some with highly decorated walls echoing old Russian churches. Reopened in 1997, each year sees the addition of a few more......

Drinking Water Scarcity

...Water is the foundation of life. It is only in areas that contain liquid water in which life exists. Ancient societies used to cherish water. Some would even worship water and build their lives around it. Recognizing the vitality of water management was of key importance thus water was common and universal. Although everyone is dependant upon it, in today’s society the appreciation of water has greatly diminished as water resources are taken advantage of and exhausted. Ninety-seven percent of the Earth’s water is salt (Barlow & Clarke, 2002). Just a mere three percent of the Earth’s water is fresh water and much of it has been polluted. Despite the fact that water is crucial for survival, this basic need is one that is not afforded to all. On the basis of profit, water has become a life and death situation. Wealthy people and countries with the ability to pay will have access to water. Those who cannot afford to pay for the basic need of water, that has now become a commodity, will go without and suffer in poverty. Drinking water scarcity is a huge pandemic. Due to human’s selfish and non-sustainable impact of the water supply there is a global water crisis- the world is running out of water. Amongst developed countries and multinational corporations, there is a damaging mentality that water can be used without limit as long as there are no immediate or significant impacts. The environmental impact of this way of thinking is detrimental. In reality, all of the negative......

Are Children Drinking Enough Water?

...Is There A Connection Between Water And Cognitive Function? Introduction According to several studies conducted in the United States, drinking adequate amounts of water does more for children than just ward off dehydration. The studies were done to determine the hydration status of healthy children in the United States and the connection between water and cognitive function. The studies set out to prove whether or not mild dehydration has a negative impact on a child’s ability to function at school. Could there possibly be a connection between the two? Discussion of Objectives A recent study was conducted on a group of 9-11 year olds in Manhattan and LA on their way to school. The group was given 50 dollars to pee in a cup. The urine from nearly 2/3 of the children was considered too concentrated, an indicator that they were dehydrated. Why? Because they weren’t drinking enough water. Three quarters of the children did not drink water between the time when they woke up and when they went off to school (Greger, 2013). But most ate breakfast so they must have been drinking something. The problem is that other beverages are not as hydrating. The levels of sodium, sugars and amino acids in milk and juice can shrink cells and trigger the release of the hormone that signals dehydration (Greger, 2013). So, is there any actual......

...Benefits of Drinking Water Most people know that drinking water is essential to human life. Without it, the human body will shut down and experience life-threatening health problems, or even death. However, many people tend to forget just how important water is to staying healthy and fit. The fact is, anyone who adopts a fitness regimen needs to understand just how important water is to a great workout and the role it plays in achieving optimal physical results. Working out will make you thirsty, but be sure you are drinking enough to compensate for your exercise? During one hour of intense exercise, the average person can lose a full quart of water just by sweating. To prevent dehydrating, it is a good idea to drink one glass of water for every twenty minutes of exercise. If you know you are prone to sweating a lot, you should be sure to drink even more. Drinking water during exercise is extremely important. However, it is just as important to drink water before and after a workout as well. If you are planning on a tough workout session, you should drink 3-4 glasses of water in the 3 hours before you start sweating. If your muscles are not hydrated when you begin working out, they will be more prone to cramping and injury. The Benefits of Drinking Water

...Dear CPCC President, Dr.Tony Zeiss As an international student in CPCC, I just want to express my sincere appreciation to you for being a strong leadership. CPCC is a great school where I can receive quality academic instruction in a good environment. Thank you for your supporting that I can learn education system based on the development technologies and professional skills. However, there are some problems that may exist at CPCC and I am not satisfied with them at all. The first thing is that I have a parking problem at school and it happens to me many times. The parking lot is so terrible, sometimes I try to get to school early but it takes me 20 minutes to find a spot and I’ve had to miss class. I have to circle the parking lot over and over and people get so irritated. I see two people waiting for the same parking spot and nobody is willing to budge . Finally, I have to park far away from my campus and walk to school. That is really bad, isn’t it? I think it is necessary to find the best solution to this problem. The second issue is the textbooks cost high so students can not afford to buy the book. I wonder that why they cost a lot since I already pay extremely high tuition rates. Apparently, textbooks cost more than 200 dollars on each semester. Some people may be unable to attend class because of the costs too high. They spend more hours working to cover the cost, therefore they might get bad grades on the exams. As a student at CPCC, I think books should be...

Nanoparticles and Drinking Water

...Nanoparticles and Drinking Water A nanoparticle is a microscopic particle with dimensions less than 100nm. These particles are used in varying scientific applications. Nanoparticles have significant surface area to volume ratio and are able to be suspended because of surface particle tension. This application is beneficial in water filtration because interaction with particle surfaces is strong enough to overcome differences in density, which results in filtered materials to either sink or float in a liquid (Fletcher, 2015). Nanotechnology has shown to be useful in water purification because the small molecule contaminates are passively absorbed by the nanoparticles. This discovery is superior to current water purification systems in place like ultraviolet radiation (UV) that is sufficient to kill bacteria however, more absorption occurs on small nanoparticles (Fletcher, 2015). However, nanoparticles can only be used to filter surface and groundwater because cations in saltwater tend to make the particles bind together, losing the effectiveness of its filtration properties (“Nanoparticle”). This technology has been extremely beneficial in Africa where they filter drinking water with paper that is embedded with silver or copper nanoparticles that is able to purify water up to 99.9% purity. Silver nanoparticles account for 23% of all nano-products and function as antimicrobials. Application of nanoparticles in water purification has allowed for the elimination......
